The Karoo, a vast semi-desert in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, is one of the world's few remaining sanctuaries of completely clean air and water.  Under the patient guard of the brooding Camdeboo mountains, Karoo Lavender Fields lovingly tend, sparingly water and carefuly harvest the sprigs of naturally grown lavender.
